Tiger Cheer

Welcome to the home of ETBU Tiger Cheer where our athletes excel in the classroom and on the sidelines. We appreciate your interest and wish you luck while deciding on the best cheerleading program and university for you!

The mission for the East Texas Baptist University Spirit Program (which includes the Tiger Cheer, Tiger Pom, and mascot) is to promote school spirit and sportsmanship, enhance athletic traditions at University functions on and off campus and to serve as a performing group representing the University throughout the community, state, and nation. The ETBU Spirit Program serves as ambassadors for the University while exhibiting Christ-like character.

Tiger Cheer is an All-Girl Squad and can be seen on the sidelines of football and basketball games. The squad also represents East Texas Baptist University at many university and community events throughout the year.

The East Texas Baptist University Tiger Cheer tryouts will begin with Open Gym Friday, April 21, and continue with the skills portion and judges interview on Saturday, April 22. Each candidate should read all the information found on the website and know all the requirements for team selection.
