MARSHALL, Texas – Making some noise for NCAA Division III, East Texas Baptist University wide receiver Jamaine Sherman will continue his career in football in the NFL. Sherman did not get drafted but signed a free agent contract with the St. Louis Rams.
After the draft was over, Sherman received a call from his agent confirming the interest from the St. Louis Rams which led to him signing. Sherman will report with the rookies next week to St. Louis for a rookie mini-camp.
Sherman was an All-ASC first-team selection and set the single season receiving yards record for ETBU with 1,084 yards. He was the first-ever 1,000 yard receiver for ETBU. He played only one year at ETBU which came in 2013 finishing up his eligibility.
