MARSHALL, Texas - In his weekly press conference, ETBU head men's tennis coach Jeff Bramlett recaps ETBU's match against UT Dallas and previews the home matches against Millsaps and Austin College this weekend. Watch and listen to see what he says.

On the UT Dallas men’s results.

“The results showed 0-9 and that’s how we started against them last year. Then we turned it around. I feel we’re a team that improves every day. That’s our motto to get better every day. Last we had a 2-1 lead against them and we’re winning a few singles matches. It started off that way this time and Coach Wood came up to me and said “this is déjà vu. Y’all are going to get up 2-1 on us again.” We were winning the No. 1 and No. 2 men’s doubles, but we ended up losing 9-7 in both of the matches and it really just came down to a couple of shots that ended up costing us the match. But we were just right there. They have just some highly ranked players in their lineup. We’re going to work on getting better and hopefully get to play them again in the conference tournament.”

On returning home for two matches

“Finally we get to play at home. We’ve been practicing since the third week of January and we’ve been on the road since then. I can’t remember the last time we had our last home match, but we’re really excited to get a home stretch this year. I think we got five or six weeks in a row that we got some home cooking before we go on the road to Hilton Head Island, which the kids are really excited about. Then we come back for another five weeks at home. Then we start our conference schedule. Both Millsaps and Austin College are going to be good teams. “
