MARSHALL, Texas – Earning the first D3football.com "Team of the Week" award for the East Texas Baptist University football team is Xavier Gray. Gray is one of three wide receivers to make the team out of all NCAA Division III.

Gray had a career game catching two touchdowns and recording 163 yards receiving on just five receptions. He scored with 5:30 to go in the first quarter to put ETBU up 14-7 on a 25-yard reception and then had a 91-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter to make it 34-20.

ETBU is currently 3-0 and 2-0 in the ASC and will face #6 Hardin-Simmons University at 7 p.m. on Saturday, September 30, in Ornelas Stadium.
