MARSHALL, Texas – Volleyball history was made on Saturday, October 6th, for East Texas Baptist University as Lyndsay Mashe became the all-time wins leader. She won her 117th career match at East Texas Baptist in her seventh season at the helm.
With a 3-0 sweep of Concordia University-Texas, she surpassed former leader, Suzanne Truitt, who has 116 wins in five years from 2001-05. Mashe currently has 118 wins after a 3-0 win over Mississippi College on Tuesday.
In seven years, she has posted a 118-85 record and had three 20 or more win seasons. She won 20 matches in 2007 and 2009 and 24 matches in 2008. In 2006 and 2007, her team won the ASC East Championship and has made four ASC Tournament appearances.
She has produced 26 All-ASC East players and seven All-ASC performers along with two ASC East Players of the Year and one ASC East Newcomer and ASC East Freshman of the Year.
Mashe is a product of the program as she was a two-time All-ASC East selection and graduated from East Texas Baptist in 2005.
East Texas Baptist is currently tied for first place in the ASC East with four conference matches left.
